Minor Maintenance

Standard Maintenance

Replace Spark Plugs

Every 40,000 miles (or 6 years, whichever comes first) replace the 4 spark plugs in the engine to prevent misfires or engine damage.

Torque Specs

  • Spark plug: 30 Nm (22 lb-ft)
  • Ignition coil hold down bolt: 9 Nm (80 in-lbs)

Optional

It's commonly recommended to replace the ignition coils at the same time as the spark plugs. Some owners prefer to replace the ignition coils at every other spark plug replacement (e.g. 80,000 miles, 160,000 miles, etc)

Change Transmission Oil

Every 40,000 miles change the transmission oil to prevent unnecessary wear and premature failure of the double-clutch transmission assembly.

Replace Engine Air Filter

Every 60,000 miles replace the engine air filter.
